2012 Theme:

“Connected”

Theme Verses:

"From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love."  Ephesians 4:16

Main Focus:

We all sense the need in our lives to be "CONNECTED".  The desire to belong at times can be almost overwhelming.  That is how we are created.  For the believer we are to find that sense of belonging or "connectedness" in several different areas.

We are first and foremost to be "Connected to the cross."  It is only in finding Jesus Christ as our Savior that we can truly fill the void that sin has brought into our lives.

"Connected to the Word" is also an important theme in the life of the believer.  We believe God's Word is the only real measure of TRUTH.  It is how God has chosen to reveal Himself and His plan for our lives to us.  We "Connect" by daily digging into God's Word.

We are also to be "Connected to our local church."  Faithfulness in attendance at church is often taken for granted.  However if we want to belong, we must be there.

Serving others or ministering can be difficult in a world that is so self centered.  However in order to fulfill God's plan in our lives, we need to be actively "Connected to ministry."

The final way we are to be "Connected" is to be "Connected with fellow believers."  A church that functions as a family does not just interact with one another on Sundays.  We find friendship, relationship, and comfort in getting together, talking with, and fellowshipping with fellow believers throughout the week.

Our desire this year is that you will begin to be, continue to be, or help others to be..."CONNECTED"

We are a church in fellowship and association with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches.
